I’m watching one of my favorite episodes of That 70s Show, where Joseph Gordon-Levitt guest stars as Buddy, Eric (Topher Grace)’s new (gay!) friend. He kisses Eric, thinking he’s gay too. It’s all very cute and comical. Thanks to my TiVo–to which I have yet to give a pet name–for catching this.
Eric: Look, I’m not gay.
Buddy: Yeah. Are you sure?
Eric: Yes!
Buddy: ‘Cause I just thought that…
Eric: Well, why would you think that?
Buddy: ‘Cause we’ve been spending so much time together…
Eric: Because we’re friends. I’ve been friends with Hyde for years, and I never put the moves on him.
Buddy: Yeah, I don’t blame you. That guy’s a jerk.
Eric: Yeah. [pauses] Well… that’s not the reason!

Te heh…. Yeah I remember that. They were in the front seat of the stationwagon…t’was cute. And J G-L still had the long hair from 3rd Rock so he just fitted right in with that old 70’s scene.
Dunno bout you, but I have totally gone off That 70’s Show. Don’t shoot me but I seem to be watching Everybody Loves Raymond more now. P’haps I am just getting old and suburban. It’ll be gnomes and pink flamingoes in the front yard next.
Nate sits down gently with a mug of cocoa and feels uneasy in his easy chair and then falls asleep….probably.
Yah, that was an awesome episode. I always hoped they’d maybe have a recurring gay character on That 70’s Show. They did have a little fun recently with Fez having an erotic dream with Kelso, lol!
Oh, I recently saw a preview of an upcoming movie with Joseph Gordon-Levitt called Manic. Looks pretty intense… hopefully a good vehicle for dear JG-L. Be interesting to see how his film career unfolds.

Manic’s been getting a whole lot of coverage on IFC and Sundance, and it looks like an interesting movie. I might try to catch it sometime.
