Let it snow!

Uhh, okay, that’s enough. No, really. Eee, make it stop! Damn. The two Rent performances today were cancelled on account of the near-record snow. (Even the Smithsonian museums have closed.) So though I woke up super early this morning and trudged through the snow to Warner Theatre, basically assuring myself a front-row seat since I was the fifth person in line, it all came to naught. We waited in front of the box office for a few hours, and then at around 10:00, someone came out to tell us today’s shows were cancelled and that the tour is supposed to continue to South Dakota this week, so they wouldn’t know until at least Tuesday if and when they would reschedule. Oh well. It’s not like I didn’t see Rent just last year, so it’s all right.

I have to admit the snow looked rather pretty, impassable though it was. Wide swaths of deep, untouched snow, quiet, desolate, and other-worldly. Well, let’s all just hope I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.

i feel bad that you woke up so early! i was supposed to have classes today, but i instructed my family to let me sleep! this is when i like snow, when there is enough of it to close up schools, businesses and public transportation! enjoy the gorgeousness!

Snow? hmmm *thumbs through dictionary* ooooh snow. I think I saw a documentary on the stuff with Bing Crosby. I’ll keep m’fingers crossed for your work hiatus… g’luck!

Never fear, Jeff… Me and my trusty sled and dog team (led by the courageous Fang) is wending its way down there to dig you out. I look forward to sharing this mega Thermos of hot cocoa with you and indulging in the Queen Mother of all snowball fights with the Rebel Prince. 🙂

Jeff, don’t ya just love the way the snow makes the bustling city so still and every sound seems muted. I think I adore that the best. Hope you get your day off tomorrow.

Huge snow clinch for ya.

Holy Snowflakes Batman…!

I just double posted for the first time ever… Gasp! Oh… the shame of it… oh the humanity!

Jeff!

I hope you had your day off (unfortunately, I had SEVEN — count ’em, SEVEN hours of lecture).

Current Cleveland crisis: a lack of snow plows and road salt.

I dunno about you, I’m ready to head off to Vermont to drink some buttermilk and put on a show for the General—one with a “slam-bang finish!”
